Marie Gaskins Obituary
Marie Gaskins, of Harrison formerly of Sayler Park, passed away on May 17, 2019 at the age of 84. She was born in Gubser Mill, Kentucky on July 17, 1934 to Alfred and Daisy (nee Stratman) Dawn. Marie married Charles Edward Gaskins, Jr., on October 9, 1951. They were blessed with 7 children: Charles "Buddy", Greg, Lisa, Linda, Peggy, Penny and Chad. Marie loved her family and enjoyed being with them. She was the master of puzzles, especially word search puzzles. Marie enjoyed going to the boats to gamble.
She is preceded in death by her husband: Charles Edward Gaskins Jr.; grandson: Alex Hesse; and great-granddaughter: Meggie Kathman; and her siblings: Liz, Lee, Willy, Stella, Jim, and Ruth.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her beloved children: Charles Buddy (Carlene) Gaskins, Greg (Vickey) Gaskins, Lisa Hipple. Linda (Rick) Gaskins White, Peggy (Gerry) Cummins, Penny (Rick) Hesse, and Chad (Jessica Manning) Gaskins; cherished grandchildren: Andrew (Krista) Hesse, Allie (Vincent) Snyder, Angela (Bob) Mullen, Jessica (Craig) Kathman, Charli (Jimmy) Schneider, Chelsea Hipple, and Josie Gaskins; great-grandchildren: Logan & Gracie Hesse, Leeanna & Henry Snyder, Emmie Kathman, James Jr., Ella, & Sylvia Schneider, and Sydney & Tucker Robben; her siblings: Doug (JoAnne) Dawn, Jack (Carol) Dawn, and Gayle (Kenny) Warner.
Gathering of Friends will be held Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at Brater Winter Funeral Home, 201 S. Vine St. Harrison, Ohio 45030, from 5:00 PM until the time of the Celebration of Life at 7:00 PM.
Burial of Cremains will be on Thursday, May 23, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Glen Haven Cemetery.
