Lillian Newhouse Obituary
Lillian Luretta (nee Burgess) Newhouse, passed away Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at the age of 94. She was born on May 6, 1923 in Harrison, Ohio to the late William and Ethel (nee Hahn) Burgess.
Lillian used to help her late husband, John W. Newhouse, at his lumber yard in her early years. More recently, she was a security guard at the Harrison Community Center, and was the Assistant Director at the Harrison Senior Citizen Center. She didn't retire as assistant director until she was 80 years old.
Those who will miss Lillian the most are her loving daughter: Rhonda Deal; Her caring grandchildren: Patrick, John "Brett", Rheanna, Ethan, Heather, John, and Bob; and 11 adored great grandchildren.
Lillian was preceded in death by her Parents: William and Ethel; her Husband John; Children: Robert A. and John Michael "Newy" Newhouse; and 2 siblings: Allen "Bud", and Robert Burgess.
Family and friends are welcome for visitation on Friday, August 25, 2017 at Brater-Winter Funeral Home in Harrison from 12 pm - 1 pm. The funeral service will follow the visitation at 1 PM. Graveside service will be held after at Glen Haven Cemetery in Harrison.
Memorials may be made to the Harrison Senior Center through the funeral home. You may bring your donation to the visitation and a funeral director will be able to assist you. If you are unable to make the visitation, please mail your donation, made payable to the Harrison Senior Center, to the funeral home Brater Winter Funeral Home, 201 S.
