James Schablein Obituary

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of James "Jim" Joseph Schablein, age 74, of West Harrison on April 25, 2020. He was born in Cincinnati on March 13, 1946 to Richard and Helen (nee Veerkamp) Schablein. He worked for Pepsi starting out delivering and ended as District Manager and retired from Pepsi in 1997. While working at Pespi he met Cindy Sellins and they married on April 25, 1998. Jim was a little bored in retirement so he started working for a high school friend at Soft Seal. He worked three days a week and he enjoyed the work. He retired again in 2008 due to health reasons. Jim was into classic cars he belonged to two car clubs the Cincy Street Rods and the Hilltoppers." He was funny giving man and would do anything and everything for others.

He will be greatly missed by his loving wife Cindy Schablein; his children: Amy Ball and James "Joe" Jr. Schablein; dear siblings: Sue Anderson, John (Mary Jo) Schablein; many beloved nieces and nephews; father-in-law: Richard Sellins and sister-in-law: LuAnn (Daryle) Jansen. He will also be dearly missed by many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Richard and Helen Schablein; brother Richard "Dick" Schablein; brother-in-law: Jim Anderson.

Memorial Service for Immediate family will be on Friday, May 1, 2020 at Brater Winter Funeral Home, 201 S. Vine Street, Harrison, OH 45030

Memorials may be made to PAWS of Dearborn County through the funeral home.
