Hillory "Skip" McDaniel

Hillory "Skip" McDaniel, of Lawrenceburg, Indiana passed away July 22, 2019, at the age of 79. Skip was born in Daniel Boone Park, Clay County, Kentucky on June 27, 1940 to Ernest and Faye (nee Singleton) McDaniel. He married Linda Allen on March 8, 1997. Skip proudly served our country in the United States Airforce during the Vietnam War. He retired from City of Cincinnati Metropolitan Sewer District where he worked as an electrical engineer. Skip loved genealogy, coaching soccer, but most importantly spending time with his family and his little dog Dixie.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife: Linda McDaniel; his children: Pamela Minser, Linette Blaker and her fiancee Joe Brecht, Mary Elizabeth "Liz" Morsch, Michele Renee (Mike) O'Brien, and Jennifer McDaniel; his grandchildren: Timothy (Sara) Beagle, Michael (Brooke) Blaker, Christopher Bullock, Cassandra Blaker, Andrew Blaker, Eric Morsch, Kristina Minser, Michael O'Brien, Jr.; great-grandchildren: Zoey Beagle, Julia Beagle, Cole Beagle, Parker Beagle, Adalyn Blaker; his siblings: Riley McDaniel, Howard McDaniel, Donal (Sue) McDaniel, Katherine (Robert) Moore; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation will be held Thursday, July 25, 2019 from 4:00 PM until time of service at 6:00 PM at the Church of Jesus Christ Latter-Day Saints, 6168 Martha Dr., Aurora, Indiana 47001. Burial will be on Monday, July 29, 2019 at 10 AM at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North, 205 Eibeck Lane, Williamstown, Kentucky 41097. Memorials may be made to PAWS of Dearborn County. You may bring your donation at the time of the visitation and a funeral home representative will be able to assist you, or mail it to Brater-Winter Funeral Home, 201 S. Vine St., Harrison, OH 45030.
