Dorothy Zinser Obituary

Dorothy (nee Jenkins) Zinser, age 88, of Harrison, passed away on March 11, 2020. She was born on October 10, 1931 in Bryson City, N.C. to Edgar Caloway Jenkins and Edith (nee Holden) Jenkins. She married Harold Zinser on August 20, 1949 and they were blessed with 8 children: Charles, Steven, Cathy, Timothy, Gail, Bonnie, Joseph, and Terry. Dorothy enjoyed reading, gardening, sewing and cooking. Everyone loved her homemade donuts. She loved being around her family especially the babies.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her loving husband Harold Adam Zinser; parents: Edgar and Edith Jenkins; son-in-law: Robert Zimmerman; and siblings: Francis, Frank, Jack, Kenneth, Gilbert, Wayne Daniel & Ed Jenkins.
Those left to cherish her memory are her beloved children: Charles J. (Linda) Zinser, Steven H. (Linda) Zinser, Cathy (Todd) Westrich, Timothy E. (Julie) Zinser, Gail A. Zimmerman, Bonnie (Douglas) DeMoss, Joseph M. Zinser and Terry W. (Mary) Zinser; 23 loving grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild; siblings: Carl (Linda) Jenkins, Sylvia Rivers, Bonnie (Floyd) Breedlove, Patsy Maney; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Monday, March 16, 2020 from 10 am until the time of the funeral at 12 pm at First Baptist Church, 119 S. Hill St., Harrison, Ohio. Burial to follow at Glenhaven Cemetery.
Memorials to Cancer Free Kids of Cincinnati. You may make your donation at the visitation or service through a funeral home representative. If you are unable to attend mail your donation to Brater Winter Funeral Home, 201 S. Vine Street, Harrison, OH 45030. They will notify the family of your donation and forward to charity.

Due to the COVID-19, if you are not feeling well, or those who have a compromised immune systems which in anyway increase the chance of complications from COVID19 are STRONGLY ENCOURAGED to stay home.
