Daniel Bandenburg Obituary

Daniel Bandenburg, age 86, passed away on October 2, 2018.

Daniel was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on May 29, 1932 to Theresa (nee Ballauer) and Anton Bandenburg. Dan served in the US Coast Guard from January 1952 until January 1955. He married Shirley (nee Dieckmann) Bandenburg on September 1, 1956. They were blessed with 6 children: Peggy, Mary, Ed, Tony, John, and Bob. Dan worked for Access Corporation in Cincinnati as an Electrical Engineer and then he bought and managed Allendale Mobile Home park. He enjoyed carving and fine woodworking. Dan also enjoyed politics.

He was preceded in death by his wife: Shirley Bandenburg; his son: John Bandenburg; and parents Theresa & Anton Bandenburg.

Those left to cherish Dan's memory are his children: Peggy (Craig) Jenkins, Mary (Hugh) McMichael, Ed Bandenburg, Tony (Robin) Bandenburg, Bob (Terri) Bandenburg; grandchildren: Lauren Jenkins, Hugh (Elise) McMichael, Nikki McMichael, David (Emily) Tye, Melissa (Bobby) Wilson, Katie Bandenburg, Ben (fiance' Samantha Riefstahl) Goldschmidt, Joe, Jack, Adam & Simon Bandenburg; 8 great grandchildren; dear brother: Tom Bandenburg.

Visitation will be held at Brater Winter Funeral Home in Harrison, Ohio on Friday, October 5th from 7pm-9pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, October 6, 2018, at 10:00 AM at St. Bernard of Clairvaux Catholic Church, 7130 Harrison Ave., Taylor Creek, 45247, with Father Rick Dressman officiating. Burial to follow at St. Joseph New Catholic Cemetery.
