Catherine A. nee (Gunia) Slusher, age 59 of Harrison, passed away on Thursday, October 19, 2017 in her home.
Cathy was born on May 22, 1958 in Omaha, Nebraska to the late John and Lucille (nee Mallo) Gunia. On April 26, 1987 she married the love of her life, George W. Slusher Jr. and together they were blessed with their daughter Samantha Jo. Cathy enjoyed walking to the church she was a member of: St. John the Baptist in Harrison and loved ordering things off television. She liked getting out of the house and spending time wither her grandchildren and her dog, Bella. She enjoyed cooking and was great at it.
Cathy is preceded in death by her parents: John and Lucille Gunia; brother: David Gunia; mother-in-law: Florence; and sister-in-law Luann (Troy) Boggs.
Survivors include her adored husband George W. Slusher Jr.; loving daughter Samantha Jo (Donald) Jessee; caring grandchildren: Silas Poe and Scarlett Jessee, Siblings: John (Connie) Gunia, Jeanne (Chris) Urban, Linda (Matt) Placzeck and Mary (James) Howe; Father-in-law: George Slusher, brother-in-law Greg (Sandy) Slusher; Sister-in-law Lisa (Jeff) Wissel, many nieces and nephews and her dog and bestie, Bella.
Gathering of friends will be held on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at 11 AM until the time of the Memorial Service at 12 noon in the Brater-Winter Funeral Home, 201 S. Vine St., Harrison, OH 45030.
