Catherine “Kay” Kolb

Catherine G "Kay" Kolb age 89 passed away peacefully on April 8th 2019 at her home in Knoxville, Tennessee. Preceded in death by her husband Edwin L Kolb, her parents William and Laurien Acree, her brothers Robert E Acree and James E Acree , sister Ella Mae Hollis ( Ward) Survived by son Edwin Michael (Mike ) Kolb, daughter Kimberly Marcum ( Timmy) granddaughters Angela Heig (Chuck) and Amber Myers ( Kevin ) great grandsons Edwin Marcum Heig and Jackson Emory Myers sister Jeanne Theriault (Don) of Schaumburg Illinois, and many nieces nephews and friends.
Kay was a loving wife , mother , daughter , sister , aunt and friend who always thought of others. She loved golf, crafts, her church . Her family was the joy of her life.
A special thanks to Avalon Hospice for their care and support and Park Place Independent Living for always being there to help .
Receiving of friends will be on Saturday May 18th beginning at 2:00 pm and a celebration of life service will begin at 3:00 PM at Eden Chapel United Methodist Church 150 Dahlia Ave Cincinnati, Ohio 45233 with Pastor Jackie Litchfield Apted officiating.
In Lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in Kays memory to Eden Chapel United Methodist Church, any library or a charity of your choice. If donations go to a library or other charity please let the family know so they can thank you.
