Andrew James Spaw "Jim", age 86, of Lawrenceburg, IN, passed away March 9, 2018. He was born to Earl and Martha (nee Spaw) Spaw on December 21, 1931 in Casey County, Kentucky. He is married to Alta Lee (nee Dye) Spaw. Together they have three Daughters: Donna, Dianne, and the late Andrea.
Jim was an active man and enjoyed golfing, walking, and in his early years, fishing. He liked playing Euchre and watching westerns as well. Jim is a proud Navy Veteran, a member of the First Baptist Church of Harrison, and worked as a Barber for most of his life. He owned "Jim's Barber Shop" in Harrison, and also owned a shop in Naples, Florida.
He is preceded in death by his infant daughter: Andrea Beth Spaw; his parents: Earl and Martha Spaw; and 2 brothers: Harold Spaw and Bill Spaw.
Those who are left to remember the wonderful memories they had with Jim include his dear wife: Alta Spaw; loving daughters: Donna (Nolan) Tatum, and Dianne (Jim) Williams; and 3 caring grandchildren: Rachel Williams, Joe Tatum, and Jamie Williams and 1 sister: Annie Roy.
Friends and family are welcome to attend the visitation on March 15, 2018, from 10 AM to 12:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Harrison Ohio, 119 Hill Street, Harrison, OH 45030. The funeral service will follow at noon. Burial will be held at Gibson Cemetery, Bright, IN.
