William Viel Obituary

William August Viel, resident of West Harrison, Indiana, passed away on July 26, 2017 at the age of 91.
He was born on July 23, 1926 in Harrison, Ohio to Edward and Sarah Ellen (nee Couchman) Viel. Bill was an avid Model T builder and considered himself an enthusiast. He also enjoyed woodworking.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and 2 Brothers: Edward Allen, and Charles Lee Viel.
Bill is survived by his beloved wife, Rita (nee Rolfes), who he happily married on September 8, 1962; 2 caring children: Matthew W. and Thomas R. Viel; and 2 adored grandchildren: Alexis and Jared Viel.
Friends and family are welcome for visitation on Sunday, July 30, 2017 from 4-7 pm at Brater Winter Funeral Home in Harrison. The funeral service will follow at 7 pm with Arno Wilson and Bryan Harrison as the officiants. Burial will take place at Glen Haven Cemetery on Monday, July 31, 2017 at 10:30 am with military honors conducted by the Harrison American Legion Post 199.
