Shirley McComas Obituary

Shirley A. (nee Bass) McComas, age 80, of West Harrison, passed away on October 25, 2017. She was born on January 29, 1937 in Cincinnati, Ohio to John and Dorothy (nee Taylor) Bass. Shirley Married Denver McComas and she was blessed with five children. She was a proud member of the Providence Presbyterian Church in Bright where she attended services. Shirley loved to play cards with her friends and family and always enjoyed laughing and playing with her grandkids. Shirley was a great cook and enjoyed simple meals with her family and you could find her rooting for the OSU Buckeyes during football season.

Shirley is preceded in death by her husband: Denver McComas; parents: John and Dorothy Bass; three children: Gary Keyes, Jackilyn (Roger) Kleine, and her infant son Danny McComas; and four siblings: Dorothy Peterson and Bob, George, and Jack Bass.

Those who will miss Shirley dearly are her loving children: Tim (Beth) McComas and Kimberley Stoneman; Caring Grandchildren: Julie (Steve Wormald), Dan (Renee), and Adam Kleine, Abigail, and Lauren McComas, Bailey Stoneman, and Russell and Blake Keyes; and her adored great-grandchildren: Hunter, Hayden, Colin, and Sophia Kleine.

Memorial services in Shirley's honor will be held on Monday, October 30, 2017 at 4:00 PM in the Providence Presbyterian Church. A private burial will be held at Vine Street Hill Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Providence Presbyterian Church in Bright, IN through the funeral home.
