Ronald Skipton Obituary

Ronald "Skip" Skipton, Age 80, Resident of Harrison, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at his home. He was born on May 18, 1937 in Bright, IN to Guy Maxwell and Frances (nee Jackson) Skipton. Ronald grew up with his older siblings: William and Wanda. He attended and graduated from Harrison High School, Class of 1955. On May 25, 1957, Ron married Joan Bybee and they were blessed with 3 children: Rhonda Jo, Scott Edward, & Julie Ann. He worked at Cincinnati INC for over 40 years retiring in 1999. Ron was the President of Harrison Junior Baseball for many years in the 70's. He enjoyed sports and watching his grandchildren during their sporting events. Ron was a hard worker and loved to have a good time with friends and family. He was also a great dancer.

He was preceded in death by his wife: Joan Skipton; parents: Guy Maxwell and Frances Skipton; and siblings: William Skipton and Wanda Banning.

Those surviving who will honor his memory include his loving children: Rhonda Jo, Scott Edward (Melody), & Julie Ann (Tracy) Ellis; cherished grandchildren: Brittany (Jim) Ellis Mann, Kristoffer (Lyndsey) Skipton, Tyler Ellis, Chelsey Skipton, Annie Ellis & Cassady Skipton; great grandchildren: Brodyn Hensler and Quinnyn Mae Skipton. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Thursday, March 22, 2018 from 6-9PM at the Brater-Winter Funeral Home, 201 S. Vine St., Harrison, OH 45030. Funeral Service will be Friday, March 23, 2018 at 11AM at Miami Whitewater UMC, 9700 Dry Fork Road, Harrison, OH 45030.
