Marshall Baker Obituary

Marshall Alan Baker, age 47, Resident of Dover, KY formerly of Harrison, passed away on August 28, 2017 in Sidney, Ohio. He was born on October 23, 1969 in Hamilton, Ohio to Roger and Ladell (nee Jones) Baker. He worked as a foreman for Howell Contractors since 1999. He was blessed with a beautiful daughter Alexandra and was the best father he could be. He married Marilyn Schroeder on October 9, 2010 and he also became a bonus dad to her three daughters: Brittany, Andrea and Kaitlin. Marshall enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid sportsman. Whether it was fishing, hunting or gardening he enjoyed not only being outdoors and the sport but the many friends he made and the many memories created. Marshall, even though he was 6'4" tall was a good cook and loved his cast iron skillets when making a meal. He was the best at frying fish and taters. Marshall was a great friend and he always brought comfort to those during times of trial.

Survivors include his loving wife: Marilyn Baker; devoted parents: Roger and Ladell Baker; beloved children: Alexandra (Andrew Mejia) Baker, Brittany (Jeremy) Snell, Andrea (Joey) Reinstatler, Kaitlin Hartinger; dear sisters: Cindy (Tom) DeFosse, Janet (Sam) Goodall, Judy (Jim) Goodall; bonus grandchildren: Brenna Blackwell, Jackson Snell, and Charlie Reinstatler; sister-in-laws: Janice Oxendine, Stephanie (Jim) Murphy; wonderful father in law: Fred Schroeder. Marshall was preceded in death by his mother in law Phyllis Schroeder.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 1, 2017 from 12 PM until the time of the funeral service at 2 PM in Brater Winter Funeral Home, 201 S. Vine St., Harrison, OH 45030 with Brother Ronnie Wolfe conducting the service. Burial to follow at Gibson Cemetery in Bright, IN.

In lieu of flowers (which he didn't like flowers and always thought that charities didn't give enough money away to others) please do a good deed for someone else. Marshall was always doing things for friend never asking for anything in return. He will be greatly missed and by doing this you will keep his memory alive.
