Mark Heck, Jr., resident of Okeana, passed away April 30, 2017 at the age of 32.
He was born on November 10, 1984 to Mark and Sally (nee Altherr) Heck. He was the proud older brother of Matthew and Michael. Mark graduated La Salle High School in 2003. He attended UC for a year and then went to Cincinnati State. He worked at GE aviation with Moser Engineering Service, and also was a former systems Integration Engineer on Laxers at Salvagnini America. He just recently took a job at Duke Energy. Mark enjoyed boating and being on the lake, riding motorcycles, watching motocross, and downhill skiing. Most important was being with his friends because he loved people.
Mark was preceded in death by his little brother: Michael Heck in 2003 and his grandparents: Rodney "Duke" and Julia "Judy" Heck, Francis "Frank" and Virginia "Jean" Altherr.
Survivors include his parents: Mark and Sally; dear brother Matthew Heck; Aunts & Uncles: Mary (James) Rahn, Steve (Paula) Altherr, Vic (Annie) Altherr, Rodney (Brenda) Heck Jr., Debbie (James) Burkhardt, Jeri (Ron) Schroeder; and many cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 6, 2017 from 10 AM until 1 PM at Brater Winter Funeral Home, 201 S. Vine St., Harrison, OH 45030. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 1:30 PM at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church (corner of Park and Hill). Burial to follow at St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society through the funeral home.
