Mae Harmeyer Obituary
Mae (nee Birkenmaier) Harmeyer, passed away at her home in Lawrenceburg,IN on Friday, March 2, 2018 at the age of 80. She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on November 6, 1937 the only child of Edward and Martha (nee Weaver) Birkenmaier. She married Charles R. Harmeyer on April 23, 1956. They were blessed with Kim, David, and Karen. Mae enjoyed doing yoga and working out with the Silver Sneakers group. Before her husband's passing Mae and Charles enjoyed traveling and being with friends. Since she was an only child she had many friends. Mae enjoyed many friendships through her Contemporary Womens Club, P&G Ladies Club (young and old), and Card clubs. Her family will always remember her wonderful sense of humor and Family Swim Sunday's.
Those left to honor her memory are her children: Kimberly (Dr. Roger Charleville) McFarland, David C. (Peggy Dennis) Harmeyer, Karen L (Christopher P.) Janson; grandchildren: Matthew (Audrey) McFarland, Drew M. McFarland, Paige (Kyle) Williams, Zachary Harmeyer, Alexandra Harmeyer, Noah Harmeyer, Lyndsey Janson, Hailey Janson, Chloe Janson and bonus grandchildren: Brad (Crystal) Dennis, Jeff (Natalie) Dennis, Erin (Riley) Kramer. Also survived by 6 great grandchildren: Levi, Sawyer, Calista, Kolby, Andrew & Bentley McFarland and a sister-in-law: Virginia Cushard.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held, Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at 12:30 PM at St. Teresa Benedicta of the Cross, 23670 Salt Fork Road, Bright, IN, 47025. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 from 10 AM to 12:00 PM at Brater-Winter Funeral Home, 201 S. Vine Street, Harrison, OH 45030.
Memorials may be made to Loving Hearts Hospice & Palliative Care either the day of the services or you may mail your donation to the funeral home. They will notify the family of your donation and mail to Loving Hearts Hospice.
