Jewell Newell Obituary
Jewell (nee Grigsby) Newell, age 68, of Harrison, passed away May 3, 2018. She was born June 30, 1949 to Earl and Dorothy (nee Hensley) Grigsby. She married Larry E. Newell on April 11, 1967 and together they were blessed with one son, Edward. Jewell was very sincere and family oriented. Any event that included family she was there. She always had a smile on her face and hers shined brighter than any other.
Jewell is preceded in death by a granddaughter Erika Dora Newell; her parents Earl and Dorothy Grigsby; and brother-in-law Bill Cox.
Those left to live on Jewell's memory are her loving husband: Larry Newell; Caring son: Edward E. Newell; dear grandchildren Laura, Steven, and Derrick Newell; adored great-grandchildren: Jane Dora Nixon, and Carson Anthony-Edward Newell; Siblings: Betty (Jim) McIlquhanm, Lucille (Dwight) Irvine, Pauline Cox, Clifford (Debbie) Grigsby, and Bill (Martha) Grigsby; Many nieces and nephews; and dear friends Pat Link, and Ann-marie Echler. A special thanks to Vitas Hospice, especially nurse Connie Patton, and aids: Kim and Jazmine.
Family and friends are welcome to the visitation on Tuesday, May 8, 2018 from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM with service to follow at 11:00 AM in Brater-Winter Funeral Home, 201 S. Vine St. Harrison, OH 45030.
