Jessie L Reiner

Jessie L. (nee Doerr) Reiner, age 99, resident of Fairfield Ohio passed away early Thursday morning, September 22, 2016. She was born on July 27, 1917 in Cincinnati Ohio to John George & Jessie (nee Hetzler) Doerr and had five brothers. Jessie graduated from Morgan High School in Okeana Ohio and went to work at the US Shoe Factory. She married Carl Reiner and continued to work at the shoe factory for man years until her retirement in her early 70s. Jessie and her husband, Carl, raised 2 children: Kenneth & Janet. She was an avid bowler, and an active member of the Harrison and Miamitown Senior Centers. She loved to travel, play cards, play volleyball and sing in the Senior choir.
Those surviving who will honor her memory include her loving children: Kenneth (Carol) Reiner and Janet (Jerry) McVay; 5 devoted grandchildren; 8 dear great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband: Carl Reiner; and 5 brothers.
Visitation will be on Monday, September 26, 2016 from 11AM until the time of funeral service at 1PM at the Brater-Winter Funeral Home, 201 S. Vine Street, Harrison Ohio 45030. Burial to follow at the New London Cemetery-Shandon. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Harrison Senior Center or to Hospice of Southwest Ohio by bringing your donation to the visitation and funeral service or by mailing your donation directly to the funeral home.
