Jackie Tidwell Obituary
Jackie Marion Tidwell, passed away on July 11, 2016 at the age of 83. Resident of Harrison, Ohio.
Jack was born on May 16, 1933 in Winfield, AL to the late Reva C. and Audie Maybell (nee Eads) Tidwell. His father died at a young age and he and his brothers dropped out of school to help their family. Jack was active in the following organizations: Past Master of Masonic Lodge #120, York Rite Mason, 32 degree Scottish Rite, Shriner, Shriner's Past Master Club, Member of Crosby Township Civic Association, Lifetime Member of Teamsters Local 100, Lifetime Member of America Legion, Past Commander of JB Yeager Post 199, Life time member of Am Vets and a Kentucky Colonel. His service to the Community and Country started when he enlisted in the US Army in May 1954.
Jack is survived by 5 children: Marion "Rick" Tidwell, Dennis Ray Tidwell, Diane Celeste (the late Randall Sr.) Bullock, Loren "Wayne" Tidwell, and Jackie (Patrick) Day; 10 grandchildren: Billy Wooten, Salina (Austin Chapman) Tidwell, Shawn (Kristen), Scott, Colton (Ashley), Christian Tidwell, Dennis Cole Jr., Bryon Cole, Randall Bullock Jr., and Natasha Tidwell; several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Also survived by sisters: Virginia Bohley, Joan Helton and brother: Reva Tidwell and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday July 14, 2016 at Brater Winter Funeral Home, 201 S Vine St., Harrison, OH 45030, from 11 AM until the time of the services starting at 1 PM. Masonic Services will be held starting at 1 PM followed by Rev. Harold Shackelford. Burial will follow with Military Honors.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Legion (which will go to the funeral detail) or Shriners Hospital. These donations may be made at the funeral home or you may mail your check made out to either of the charities to the funeral home. The funeral home will notify the family of your donation.
