George J. Maley

George Jerome Maley, age 62, resident of Harrison Ohio passed away at his home on Monday, May 30, 2016. He was born on August 25, 1953 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Richard & Mary Jane (nee Haas) Maley. He was 1 of 5 children and had 2 brothers and 2 sisters. After high school graduation, George attended college and received an Associates Degree. He worked for a short time with the Railroad, but later became a police officer. George worked for the Hamilton County Sheriff's Department (in the Green Township area) for over 23 years until he retired. He loved his chosen profession and took great pride in serving the people and their communities. George had 4 chidren: Tracy, Joseph, Emily and Sean. He loved his children and grandchildren deeply. In his younger years, he enjoyed going fishing and spending time outdoors. He was an avid baseball fan, and continued to be a Cincinnati Reds fan and watch the games amid their struggles.

Those surviving who will honor his memory include devoted children: Tracy Stugill, Joseph Maley, Emily Dawson & Sean Maley; loving grandchildren: Hannah, Karlie, Lindsey, Danielle, Ryleigh & Rowan; dear brother: Gregory Maley; and mans-best-friends': Jay & Gus (his loving and devoted German Shepherd and another mix dog)

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his loving wife: Linda Maley.

Visitation will be on Saturday, June 4, 2016 from 10AM until the time of funeral service at noon, at the Brater-Winter Funeral Home, 201 S. Vine Street, Harrison, Ohio 45030. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the funeral home for the family, to help defray funeral costs.
