Eric Batchelor Obituary
Eric E.Batchelor, died at his home on Feb. 24, 2017. AGE 79. He is survived by his lifetime partner and soul mate Frankie Alverio. He graduated from Bradley University in Peoria, IL & Wayne State U. in Detroit. He was a Master Watchmaker and held Bachelors and Masters degrees in Chemistry & Medical Microbiology. His Doctoral work concerned Food Microbiology with a specialty in food borne diseases. He joined the FDA in 1965, serving as a laboratory supervisor, compliance officer and national lecturer concerning food borne diseases. He enjoyed playing music at his piano and 7 rank pipe organ containing 4 manuals and 550 pipes. He enjoyed retirement years studying philosophical issues and writing.
Services were private. Eric will be interred in the Mausoleum at Elm Lawn Cemetery, Elmhurst, IL.
