Donald L Eckel

Donald L. Eckel, 78 of Harrison, Passed away on Sept. 16, 2016. He was born on November 20, 1937 to the late Nelson and Mae (nee Taylor) Eckel. He married Alice Faye Crocker on February 14, 1959. Don and Alice were blessed with two sons Danny and Jim. He worked for Cincinnati Gas & Electric as a electrician for many years before her retired. Don loved being out in the garden and planting flowers. He was a Deacon at Church and enjoyed singing.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 57 years: Alice (nee Crocker) Eckel; Dear sons:Danny Eckel & Jim (Amy) Eckel; Cherished grandchildren: Sam, Juliana, Kirby, Meredith and Ava; Devoted brothers: Nelson, Roger Eckel. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Clyde Eckel. Visitation will be held Wed., Sept. 21, 2016 from 10 AM until the time of the funeral service at 12 Noon in the Harrison Avenue Baptist Church, 1125 Harrison Ave. Harrison, OH. Memorials may be made to Harrison Ave. Baptist Church tat the visitation or service by giving your donation to the funeral home representatives. If you are unable to attend then mail your donation c/o Brater Winter Funeral home, 201 S. Vine St., Harrison, OH 45030. The funeral home will notify the family of your donation.
